As an RIBA Chartered Practice, our core services are described within the RIBA plan of works. We offer a full range of professional services from inception to completion, providing our clients a service tailored to their needs, whether it be feasibility studies, production and submission of planning applications, submission of building control applications or the administering of contracts and overseeing of works on site.

If you are planning on any architectural project, whether it be commercial or domestic, large or small, SALT adapt our services to suit any brief.  The stages outlined below explain in more detail what you can expect from us and whats involved.

Initial Consultations

SALT offer an initial consultation to all our clients, free of charge, which enables us to understand our clients ambitions and requirements. We can also use this time to explain in more detail how we can be of assistance, commencing the development of a project brief. We offer advice and suggestions on proposals, advising on various approvals and consents that may be required as well as advising on funding or land opportunties. On larger projects, SALT are able act as Design Team Leader, collating a team of professionals in various disciplines from structural engineers to mechancial and electrical consultants, and offering a service which incorporates all, giving our client one point of contact. Feasibility Studies

Our services include measured and topographical surveys, which often need to be commissioned prior to proposals being developed. Following surveys and the formation of a brief between ourselves and our client, Stage 2 involves the production of initial proposals, developed in our CAD drawing software, and 3D Modelling systems where necessary, to allow us to communicate effectively with our clients and develop an appropriate scheme.

Regulatory Approvals

Many of the projects that we are involved in require planning permission, typically if you want to build something new, make a major change to your building or change the use of your building. To find out if your project will need planning permission or hear more about how we can help, contact us through the link below for an informal discussion.  SALT are capable of producing and submitting the drawings and documentation required by the relevant local authorities to gain planning permission. We work closely with our clients and all relevant consultants and authorities to guide our clients through the planning process effectively.  SALT also have a long established formal partnering arrangement with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council Building Control department which enables us to efficiently deal with full plans Building Control applications, utilising a local point of contact on all schemes throughout the UK.

Project Delivery Services

For many projects that we are involved in there is a requirement for detailed construction information. This may include detailed construction drawings, schedule of works, detailed specifications, cost planning, programming, contractor selections and appointments as well as contract administration and overseeing works on site. SALT offer a comprehensive, tailored service throughout all of these aspects of a project and we would be happy to discuss a service that fulfils your requirements.
